Who We Are

A place to belong.

Mustangs for Christ (M4C) is a Christian college ministry at Midwestern State University where students can find home and come alive in Christ. We want M4C to be a home away from home—a place where you're welcomed, known, and encouraged as you navigate one of the most formative seasons of your life.

Whether you're looking for Christian community, reconnecting with your faith, or simply searching for people to do life with, you'll find a group of friends who are excited to walk alongside you. Around here, that often looks like shared meals, honest conversations, worship, lots of laughter, and everyday life together.

A Little History

A Little History

For decades, Mustangs for Christ has served students at Midwestern State University from our little A-frame building at the edge of campus. While we've gone by names like "The Bible Chair" and "Church of Christ Student Center," one thing has never changed: our desire to create a welcoming place where students can ask honest questions, build meaningful friendships, grow in their faith, and follow Jesus together.

M4C is supported by a network of churches and individuals in Wichita Falls who believe in investing in college students. We're especially grateful to Tenth & Broad Church of Christ for their faithful leadership and support over the years, along with many others who generously serve through meals, mentoring, prayer, volunteering, and financial giving.

The building has changed. The students have changed. Even the name has changed. But our heart remains the same: to help students find home, come alive in Christ, and discover the hope and purpose found in following Jesus.

Meet the Team

    Spencer Houdyshell

Spencer is one of our campus ministers from Amarillo, TX and a gardener extraordinaire (at least according to Bethany, who has yet to successfully keep a plant alive). He graduated from Lubbock Christian University with a degree in Youth & Family Ministry and loves walking alongside students as they follow Jesus, grow in community, and discover what it means to live with purpose.

    Bethany Houdyshell

Bethany is one of our campus ministers and loves baking, playing with her giant fluffy dogs (Shepherd and Beau), making music, and all things crafty! She graduated from Harding University with a degree in Bible & Family Ministry, and her favorite parts of ministry are discipleship and leading worship.
